Christmas parcels for 200 of the most-deserving in Irlam, Cadishead and Rixton

For the last 40 years The Rotary Club of Irlam have distributed Christmas food parcels to deserving people in Irlam, Cadishead and Rixton.
Members of the Club along with Members of the Inner Wheel Club of Irlam 2000 gathered in Cadishead Wesley Hall to pack the parcels, containing tins, biscuits, mince pies etc,etc for members to deliver to 200 local residents.
Some of the food was bought with money collected on the Rotary Christmas Float, some was donated by the local Scouts groups at their Carol Concert, which was held again this year at St John’s Parish Church.
Parcel co-ordinators Bernard Daniels and John Segelit would also like to thank local firm Kingsland Drinks in Fairhills Road, for their very generous donation again this year, which part funded the parcels.
